Setup & Configuration

Configure Geotab integration to connect fleet tracking with TRUE

The Geotab integration settings are located in Company Preferences under the Integrations section. You will need your Geotab account credentials to complete the configuration.

Connect your Geotab account to TRUE to enable fleet tracking features.

  1. Click the Gear icon in the upper right corner
  2. Select Company Preferences
  3. Navigate to the Integrations section
  4. Locate Geotab and enable the checkbox
  5. Enter your Geotab account credentials
  6. Click Save to complete the configuration

To use the Geotab integration, you need an active Geotab account with API access.

  • Active Geotab subscription
  • Geotab GO devices installed in tracked vehicles
  • API access credentials from Geotab
  • Administrator access to configure integration settings

Using Geotab in TRUE

Link Geotab tracking devices to vehicles in the Vehicles module

Once the integration is enabled in Company Preferences, you can link Geotab devices to individual vehicles in the Vehicles module within the Equipment workflow.

Associate a Geotab tracking device with a specific vehicle record in TRUE.

  1. Click the Hamburger icon to open the navigation menu
  2. Select the Equipment workflow
  3. Click on the Vehicles module
  4. Select the vehicle you want to link
  5. Click Details mode to view the full record
  6. Locate the Geotab Device field
  7. Click the pencil icon to select the correct tracking device
  8. Choose the appropriate Geotab device from the list

Once a Geotab device is linked to a vehicle, you can access tracking data including:

  • Vehicle Location: Real-time GPS positioning
  • Mileage Logging: Distance tracking for the vehicle
  • Maintenance Scheduling: Service planning based on usage
