Purpose

The Language module enables customization of phrases and text throughout TRUE to use company-specific jargon or trade-specific terminology. Add new languages that can be loaded in the solution for user language preferences with Google Translate API integration.

Language Dropdown to select the language for customization

Column Description
ID Unique identifier for each phrase
Phrase The customizable text as it appears in the selected language
Default Phrase The original text in the system's default language
Default Phrase in English The English version of the phrase (for reference)
Reset Button Resets the individual phrase to its default value

Reset All Located at bottom right - resets all phrases to their default values

Phrase Editing

  1. Select the language preference from the dropdown
  2. Scroll to the desired phrase or use the search bar with the Filter option
  3. Enter the desired phrase or text in the first field under the Phrase column
  4. Click the Update button to apply changes
Note: A Google API key is required in Company Preferences > API section to load additional languages.
  1. In the Language module, select the button at the bottom right of the screen
  2. Choose Reset All to reset all custom phrases to the solution defaults

Users can set their personal language preferences:

  1. Click the Gear Icon at the top right of the screen
  2. Select User Preferences
  3. In the Settings section, select the Language field
  4. Choose the desired language from available options
Note: This setting requires a Google Translate API key. It only affects module, menu, and field label names - it does not translate data entered into text fields.

Customization

  1. Navigate to Gear Icon > Company > Language

Yes, each phrase has its own reset button:

  1. Find the phrase you want to reset
  2. Click the Reset button (↻) in that row
  3. The phrase will revert to its default value

  4. All custom phrases will be restored to defaults

Multi-Language Support

Adding new languages requires Google Translate API integration:

  1. Navigate to Company Preferences > API
  2. Enter your Google Translate API key
  3. New languages will become available in the Language dropdown

  3. Find the Language field in the Settings section
  4. Choose the preferred language from the dropdown

No, the language setting only affects:

  • Module names and menu items
  • Field labels throughout the system
  • System messages and button text

It does not translate user-entered data in text fields, notes, or descriptions.
