Purpose
The Divisions module allows users to create, edit, and use Divisions to enable employees to clock into individual company departments or divisions. This is particularly useful for employees performing tasks not associated with a specific job or contract, such as administrative duties or working in the shop.
Divisions List View
Search & Filter Options
- Search: Enter text to search for specific divisions.
- Archived: Toggle to view archived divisions.
Column Headers
- NAME: The name of the division.
Additional Features
- "+" Button: Add a new division.
- "⟳" Button: Refresh the list of divisions.

"☰" Button:
- Job Costing Report: Generate a Job Costing report for records assigned to that Division.
- Delete: Permanently delete the selected division.
Selected Division
Details Section
- Name: Enter the desired name of the division.
- ID: Enter an optional ID if applicable.
- Payroll ID: Enter an optional Payroll ID if applicable.
- Class: Select from the drop-down menu what division or class the new division would go under (e.g., True or Docuwrx).
- Location: Select from a drop-down menu if a specific location is applicable.
- Time Clock: Check to make the division available for employees to clock into in the Time Clock module or TRUE Time app.
- Archive: Check to archive the record and remove it from the active divisions list.
- Address: Select the pencil edit icon to choose an address already entered into TRUE or add a new one.
Authorized Activities Section
Lists activities authorized for this division.
- "+" Button: Add new authorized activities.

- Remove: Delete the selected authorized activity.
- Select Cost Code: Use to assign a Cost Code to the authorized activity.
Workflows
Adding a New Division
- Click the "+" button in the Divisions List View.
- Fill in the details in the Details section.
- Add Authorized Activities if needed.
- The new division is automatically saved.
Adding Authorized Activities
- In the Division Detail View, click the "+" button next to Authorized Activities.
- Select desired activities from the menu that opens.
Assigning Cost Codes to Activities
- Click the "☰" button next to an activity.
- Choose "Select Cost Code".
- Select the desired cost code from the menu that appears.
Deleting a Division
- In the Divisions List View, click the "☰" button next to the division.
- Select "Delete". Note: This action is irreversible. It's recommended to archive a Division when it's no longer needed.
