Purpose
The Acumatica Integration connects TRUE to an Acumatica ERP instance for accounting data. It works the same way as the QuickBooks integration: import reference data from Acumatica, then export approved Customers and Invoices from TRUE to Acumatica. Setup is done in Company Preferences → Integrations, and day-to-day syncing happens on the Acumatica dashboard, accessed from the Gear icon.
Access Path: Gear Icon → Acumatica (dashboard) | Gear Icon → Company Preferences → Integrations (setup)
Note: Acumatica is one of several accounting integrations under the Accounting Integration dropdown (the same setting used for QuickBooks). Only one accounting integration can be active at a time. When Acumatica is selected, the Gear icon shows an Acumatica option in place of the QuickBooks option.
Acumatica Dashboard
The Acumatica dashboard has the same three tabs as the QuickBooks dashboard, but supports fewer record types. Access it via Gear Icon → Acumatica.
| Tab | Description |
|---|---|
| Export | Exports data from TRUE to Acumatica. Displays pending item counts. Includes only Customers and Invoices — TRUE does not sync Jobs to Acumatica. |
| Update | Updates previously synced records to match TRUE. |
| Import | Imports reference data from Acumatica into TRUE: Chart of Accounts, Catalog (Acumatica's non-stock items), Classes (Acumatica's sub-accounts), and Customers. |
Terminology: Acumatica uses different names for the same underlying data. Catalog in the Import tab corresponds to Acumatica's non-stock items. Classes corresponds to Acumatica's sub-accounts.
Setup
Acumatica setup is self-service — there's no separate onboarding step with TRUE support. All fields come directly from your Acumatica instance.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Accounting Integration | Set to Acumatica in Company Preferences → Integrations to enable the integration and reveal the fields below. |
| Acumatica Instance URL | The URL Acumatica assigns to your instance (e.g. yourcompany.acumatica.com). |
| Acumatica Tenant Name | The name of the specific Acumatica tenant to connect to. An Acumatica instance can host multiple tenants (e.g. a sandbox/testing tenant and a production tenant) — enter the one TRUE should sync with. |
| Acumatica Branch Name | The branch within the selected tenant, as defined in Acumatica. |
| Client ID | Assigned by Acumatica for the TRUE connection. |
Note: None of the setup fields are assigned or generated by TRUE — the instance URL, tenant name, branch name, and Client ID all come from your own Acumatica account.
Customer & Invoice Sync
Acumatica supports exporting Customers and Invoices only. Unlike QuickBooks, Acumatica does not automatically create or link a customer when you approve an invoice — customer sync is always a separate, explicit step.
