The Wisetack Integration enables consumer financing directly within TRUE. Wisetack provides flexible payment options for customers who want to finance their purchases rather than pay upfront. Customers can apply for financing through TRUE's eForms and receive instant approval decisions - helping contractors close more sales and offer convenient payment alternatives.

Setting Up Wisetack

Configure Wisetack financing in TRUE Settings

If you don't have a Wisetack account, you can sign up directly through TRUE.

  1. Navigate to Settings
  2. Select Integrations
  3. Click Payments
  4. Click Wisetack
  5. Follow the sign-up prompts to create your Wisetack merchant account
  6. Complete the onboarding process with Wisetack

Note: Wisetack will guide you through their merchant approval process, which typically includes business verification and banking information.

If you already have a Wisetack account (such as through their standalone portal), you can connect it to TRUE.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Payments > Wisetack
  2. Look for the option to connect an existing account
  3. Enter your Wisetack credentials or authorization code
  4. Complete the linking process

Tip: If you see the sign-up screen but already have an account, contact TRUE Support for assistance connecting your existing Wisetack account.


Using Wisetack Financing

How customers apply for and use Wisetack financing

When you send an eForm to a customer, they'll see the financing option if Wisetack is enabled.

Customer Experience:

  1. Customer receives your Quote eForm
  2. Customer selects the financing option instead of paying upfront
  3. Customer completes Wisetack's financing application
  4. Customer receives instant approval decision
  5. If approved, financing terms are displayed and customer can accept

Once approved, Wisetack pays you directly and the customer makes payments to Wisetack according to their financing terms.


Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the Wisetack integration

Setup & Access

If Wisetack doesn't appear under Settings > Integrations > Payments, the integration may not be enabled for your account.

What to Do:

  • Contact TRUE Support to verify the Wisetack integration is enabled
  • Confirm your TRUE version includes the Wisetack feature
  • Check with your administrator about payment integration permissions

If you already have a Wisetack account but clicking Wisetack shows the sign-up screen, you'll need assistance connecting your existing account.

Contact TRUE Support with the following information:

  • Your TRUE account/company name
  • Your existing Wisetack merchant account email
  • Confirmation that you want to link the accounts

TRUE Support can work with Wisetack to connect your existing account rather than creating a new one.

Financing Workflows

Support for financing deposits and final payments through Wisetack is available, allowing customers to finance different stages of their project.

This is particularly useful for larger projects where customers want to:

  • Finance just the deposit amount upfront
  • Finance the remaining balance upon project completion

Note: Contact Wisetack support for specific details about how deposit and final payment financing works with their approval process.

If a customer accidentally selected the financing option but doesn't want financing, you'll need to handle this through your normal payment workflows.

Steps to Resolve:

  1. If the customer hasn't completed the Wisetack application, they can simply close it and pay normally
  2. If an application was submitted, the customer may need to contact Wisetack to cancel
  3. Send the customer a new eForm or ePay link for their preferred payment method (credit card, ACH, etc.)
  4. The financing application doesn't obligate the customer unless they complete and accept the terms

If a customer initially selected financing but decides to pay another way, you can send them an ePay link for traditional payment.

Navigate to the Quote or Invoice and send a new ePay link using your standard payment processing (such as Stripe or RunPayments). The customer can then pay via credit card or ACH.

Alerts & Notifications

Alert notifications for Wisetack financing events work similarly to payment alerts.

You can configure alerts in TRUE to notify you when:

  • A customer applies for financing
  • Financing is approved or declined
  • A financed transaction is completed

Check your alert settings to configure Wisetack notifications based on your business needs.

Comparison with Other Payment Options

Wisetack and Stripe serve different purposes in TRUE's payment ecosystem:

Wisetack:

  • Consumer financing - customer pays over time
  • You get paid upfront by Wisetack

Stripe:
