Purpose 

The TRUE Field module allows field and mobile operations personnel to connect with the home office and TRUE users via the TRUE Field application. Users can view job details, contracts, work tickets, schedules, and events. They can also document job progress, upload and view images and files, create change order requests, submit daily reports, view line items, log expenses, and perform various other field-related tasks. 

 

Note: TRUE Field requires a subscription to TRUE. The Time Clock feature launches the companion app, TRUE Time.


Using TRUE Field

Users can assign TRUE Field users directly to Jobs, Contracts or Work Tickets. This will automatically display that record when logging into TRUE Field. Alternatively, users can create “Schedules” in TRUE from those types of records, and TRUE Field users can instead access the relevant information through the “Schedules” button found in the TRUE Field main menu.

Assigned

The process of assigning a user directly to a Job, Contract or Work Ticket via the “Assigned” button. This appears within TRUE Field within the “Job”, “Contract” and “Work Ticket” buttons.

Schedules

The process of creating a schedule and assigning the TRUE Field user as a “Resource”.

App User Account Setup 

All users of TRUE Field must have a user account created in TRUE. There is no limit to the number of TRUE Field users that can be added, and Field users do not affect the TRUE subscription users.

Once a user has successfully signed in, they will be taken to the Main Menu page with access to several menu options:

  • Contracts 
  • Jobs 
  • Work Tickets 
  • Schedules
  • Quotes

Selected Record Overview 

  • ID: The contract ID number. 
  • Start & Completion Date: The estimated or verified start and completion dates for the overall contract. 
  • Address: The jobsite address for the contract. 
  • Client: The client account listed on the contract. 
  • Assigned: All assigned users in the contract, including TRUE, TRUE Go (mobile only), and TRUE Field users.

Button Actions 

  • Map: Launches the device's mapping application to map the jobsite address. 
  • Email Capture: Produces a unique code for automatic email saving to the contract. 
  • Schedule: Lists all schedules for the contract and relevant information. 
  • Activity Log: Allows users to view and log contract activity. 
  • Notes: Enables users to add and view all notes linked to the contract. 
  • Requests: Allows users to submit Purchase Order requests. 
  • Files: View files attached to the work ticket marked for viewing in TRUE Field.

Module-Specific Actions

Contracts

  • Contacts: Displays linked Contact records.
  • Change Orders: Displays active Change Orders.
  • Daily Report: Allows users to submit Daily Reports.
  • Punch List: Enables users to view and add punch list items.
  • Expenses: Allows users to enter expense records.

Jobs

  • Tasks: Allows users to access Tasks and mark as "Complete".

Work Tickets

  • Complete: Marks the Work Ticket as "complete" and notifies assigned users in TRUE.
  • Stage: Allows user to modify the corresponding record "Stage". Available for Work Tickets.
