Purpose

The Quick Search feature provides rapid access to records across TRUE through both module-specific and system-wide searches.

Using Global Search

1. Select the hamburger menu icon in the top left corner
2. Click Search to open the Quick Search panel
3. Enter the text within the search field
4. Select a specific module or the “Phone/Email/Address” field

Module-Specific Searches 

The Global Search utilizes the “Quick Search” found in these specific modules:

• Client / Vendor
• Contact / Lead
• Quote
• Job
• Bid
• Contract
• Tickets
• Purchasing / Receiving
• Schedule
• Invoice
• Bills
• Shipping

Search Types

Module Search

Performs a search only within the selected module. Use this when you know which module contains your target record

System-Wide Search

Performs a search on any record across TRUE that contains the entered Phone, Email or Address. Results are grouped by module. If staring with one of these three types of customer information, use this when unsure which module contains your target record.

Common Workflow Questions

1. How do I search across all modules at once?
   • Select Phone / Email / Address option to perform a system-wide search. This type of search only supports those 3 fields.
2. Can I search for partial information?
   • Yes, the search accepts partial matches for both module-specific and system-wide searches
3. How are search results organized?
   • Module-specific searches show results within the selected module
   • System-wide searches group results by module type
4. What information can I search for?
   1. QuickFind searches include all the standard search options found in those modules. Phone/Email/Address will only search for those specific fields. Some, but not all, included QuickFind search options include:
      • Contact information (phone, email, address)
      • Record IDs
      • Names and descriptions
      • Keywords
5. How do I quickly access a specific module's records?
   1. Select the desired module from the Quick Search panel
   2. Enter your search terms
   3. Results will be filtered to that module only
