Review the setup items below to determine the best way to setup your products in the TRUE Fence Catalog.
Manual Entry
Ideal for smaller catalogs or individual product additions.
- Navigate to the Catalog section within TRUE
- Click the "+" icon to add a new product to exist as an assembly.
- Fill in all relevant fields in each section (Details, Pricing, etc.)
- Do this for every product within your assembly.
- Navigate back to the initial assembly item (Gate, Panel, Post, etc.)
- Click the “Components” mode and select the “+” icon to relate the proper components for this build.
Product and Component Import/Export
Best for bulk updates or initial large-scale setup with existing product data to be imported into the system.
To import product data:
- Open TRUE Fence.
- Select the “"⚙️"” icon.
- Navigate to the Catalog.
- Select the “"⚙️"” icon within the Catalog.
- Export your current catalog using the "Product Export" feature
- Modify the exported CSV file with your product data
- Use the "Product Import" feature to update your catalog
To set up Component relationships and build assemblies:
- Open TRUE Fence.
- Select the “"⚙️"” icon.
- Navigate to the Catalog.
- Select the “"⚙️"” icon within the Catalog.
- Export your component data using the "Component Export CSV" feature
- Modify the CSV to define component relationships
- Use the “1st Component” field to copy and past the unique product keys and manually build the component relationships.
- Enter a quantity in the “1st Quantity” field.
- Import the modified file using the "Component Import" feature
Advanced Duplicate Feature
Quickly create multiple variations of a product.
- Set up one complete product assembly. Manually create or import products, and then setup the component relationships via the “Components” mode. Ensure product data has all the accurate details and components
- Locate the product in the list.
- Select the “≡” icon.
- Use the "Advanced Duplicate" feature

Enter a different color, style, height, or width that you'd like to create products for.
- You can enter multiple options, simply use a line break ("Enter" key for Windows, “Return” for Mac devices) with no additional spaces to separate options.
